International forum “Siberia: Europe and Asia – a dialogue on mediation.” Will be held on 11 of October, 2018 in Irkutsk (Russia).

The purpose of this forum is to discuss the development of mediation in the CIS countries, exchange views and practice of applying mediation, develop proposals aimed at effective implementation of mediation, further integration of mediation into the practice of human rights organizations, state and municipal bodies.

Within the framework of the forum the scientific and practical conference “Mediation: actual problems and prospects for development” as the final event of the project “You can YOURSELF! Development of mediation as a way to protect human rights, a tool to reduce conflict, enhance the legal culture in society “- the winner of the contest of presidential grants – is planned to be held.

There will be practical seminars, master classes, roundtables where participants will discuss:

1. The current state of mediation;
2. Generalization and analysis of experience in the practical application of mediation;
3. Arbitration court and mediation;
4. The importance of the development of mediation in improving socio-economic indicators and improving the judicial system;
5. School mediation;
6. Mediation and restorative justice;
7. Family mediation.

The organizers of the forum invite mediators, representatives of business, educational organizations, medical institutions, public and human rights organizations, representatives of state authorities and local self-government, lawyers, psychologists, all interested in conflict and mediation.
